about

Taken from upcoming album "Wanna meet our neighbors?" (p2023) this song is about the days Andy Warhol was guest at the gallery of Gunter Sachs in the Milchstraße in Hamburg in 1972. Legend says that nobody bought a picture so Sachs marked some as sold to keep Warhol happy...

lyrics

Andy Drifting Through The Milky Way

His hair shone bright like a star
As he floated through the backyard
Into the gallery
A shy smile on his face
He seemed almost bewildered
Of what was goin on

The in-crowd, and Riesling for all
But in the end this exhibition
Didn't went so well

No one was buying
Andy drifting through the milky way
No one was trying
Andy drifting through the milky way
What a day...

The next day nothing had changed
All the prints and paintings
Still were on display
His friend marked them as sold
So Andy smiled when he returned
To the gallery

No one was buying
Andy drifting through the milky way
No one was trying
Andy drifting through the milky way
What a day in Milky Way...
